Bees

Bee Control:

Wild Honey bees are now considered Africanized. You cannot tell the difference by comparing a European bee to an Africanized bee. However, the Africanized bees have a few traits that differ from the European bee. Africanized bees are comfortable building their nests near the ground- i.e. in a gopher hole, valve box, furniture, barbecue grill, etc. They have a tendency to become highly agitated and will aggressively defend their hive in much greater numbers than the European bee. Noises, dark colors, and movement are just three of the factors that easily cause Africanized bees to become alarmed and attack. It’s advised to remove all people and pets immediately from the area then contact the proper authorities for removal.
